DFI Session 9: It's a Wrap.

WHAT A COHORT!
Check them out! Apparently the best cohort this year according to Gerhard and yes it still counts even if the other cohort didn't ask ha ha ha.

Watch out kids.  In these craniums is a wealth of new learning.
I have learnt so much and was fortunate to sit the Google Level 1 exam. I didn't quite get the desired outcome of a pass; however that is NOT a reflection on my time here doing the Digital Fluency Intensive.

The Sparkle I leave with since DFI:

  • Sharing using blogs is something I will be setting up and maintaining in class.
  • I also intend to share with my colleagues how to make class sites visible by filing docs and other material into accessible folders in my drive.
  • I have had so much fun and have met some wonderful people along the way.  Thank you so much to everyone for genuinely sharing openly.  I learnt from so many of you. I will keep in touch.
  • A massive thank you to Dorothy Burt, Gerhard Vermeulen and Tanya Mundy for your patience and teaching.

DFI: Session 7

Making Teaching and Learning Visible

Equality is giving everyone the same box.

Equity is making sure everyone can see.
I love the example shared in the picture above.
Question to self as Dorothy was sharing was...
What can you change to make the learning and teaching in your class visible to not just our school but to everyone looking at our class site?

I was fortunate enough to have 13 critiques share constructive advice with me about visibility of learning and teaching on my class site. Thanks team I really appreciate the feedback. From this my goals are to give everyone access to the rich material on my site, work on the 3 clicks rule and add more rewindable learning.
Google Keep is the number 1 App for me since starting this course.
This is note taking at the Next Level. My notebook of to do lists might be a thing of the past.
